Essay:
Life is in numerous ways, and for numerous people a pain. Many people begin each day grouchy going to the job they hate, or associating with people they dislike. We need to find the silver-lining in our lives, and though at times life may seem bitter, consider that, "Whatsoever you do, do in the glory of God." [1 Cor. 10:31]. Just yesterday, I broke down for a bit as I took a step out of the frame of this year for a look at my future. I was overwhelmed in realizing that after my senior year in high school I will have four more years of undergraduate college in which I must maintain a 3.0 GPA, and then yet another four years of medical schools, and hopefully a doctorate in Optometry. It is amazing how our lives can get so wrapped up in earthly things that we fall behind in our spiritual walk. It is so hard every night even though it may be one o'clock in the morning, to take five minutes and read my Bible after homework is completed. I try hard to struggle through my rigorous schedule of honors classes, and mainatin my joyful aura, but sometimes it just becomes too great and I get in the wrong mindset with a bad attitude and I make it tough on the people around me. However, thank God, I always come out of it. My fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, I encourage you to stay strong in the faith and do not falter due to life and its daily struggles.
Whenever times get rough for me I simply quote my favorite Bible verse which I think applies to all my sports, extra-curricular activities, school and life itself. In the book of Ecclesiastes, chaper nine and verse ten it says, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge or wisdom." I hope those who read this may find some miniscule inspiration, God Bless you all, and God Bless America.
