Advertisements that are COMING SOON:
- Newspaper: As one of the oldest forms of mass media, newspaper advertisements continue
to be one of the largest forms of advertisement. Dr. Parker had a strong desire for his message to be spread
throughout the community by way of the newspaper. This year CrossLites will be advertising our first scholarship
contest in school newspapers across the country.
- Google Ads: Additionally, as Dr. Parker's wish of spreading his message through print is ushered into
the age of the internet, CrossLites has decided to begin advertising our website and spread Dr. Parker's

CrossLites Organization is a perpetual trust fund of Dr. Charles Parker. Dr. Parker was a veterinarian who moved to
Florida upon retirement. Parker lived his life by being generous to those who were truly deserving and wished that his
money would benefit others long after his death. From this concern grew the idea of "CrossLites." Parker’s trust fund
is managed yearly by Bank of America and the Crummer Graduate School of Business
at Rollins College.
The mission of CrossLites.com is to communicate the message of Dr. Charles Parker. His message communicated many
different ideas revolving around developing a society where people care deeply for one another. In order to communicate
this message, CrossLites.com has sponsored many different activities that not only communicate this message, but also
demonstrate it. Detailed descriptions of past activities are found here and throughout the website that illustrate the
heart of Dr. Parker’s message.
The Favela Project, Summer 2006
CrossLites.com sponsored the development of a kitchen in a slum in Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil. Rio is riddled with many slums that are expanding at an alarming rate. Many of these slums, called 'favelas,'
lack basic infrastructure that would enable residents to perform simple tasks like cooking food. As a result,
CrossLites.com developed a project to build a kitchen in a favela in Rio to ensure that people who are hungry have
the opportunity to eat. Once CrossLites.com determined the slum most in need of a new kitchen, a team was sent to meet
the need and in the end, to demonstrate the message of Dr. Parker.

through the night. Relay for Life is a charity event that raises money to fight cancer. At the event there were many
former cancer patients, current cancer patients, and people with a desire to fight for a noble cause. This event takes
place every spring in Winter Park, Fl at Showalter Stadium. CrossLites.org was happy to contribute to the fight against
cancer, and even more enjoyed being involved in the actual walk, as it was a chance to spread Dr. Parkers message
through words and action.
